About the Joint Venture

AgriBio, Centre for AgriBioscience, is a joint initiative of the Victorian Government and La Trobe University (La Trobe).
The State and La Trobe have formed a Joint Venture, through their dedicated entity - Bioscience Research Centre Pty Ltd, to invest in the development of AgriBio.
AgriBio ensures the delivery of high-quality scientific research in Victoria through enhanced science programs, collaboration, increased research capability and attraction of world-leading scientists and collaborators.
AgriBio strengthens Victoria’s international reputation for plant, animal and microbial biosciences, and biosecurity research and diagnostics.
The project represents a further development of the biosciences industry in Victoria, Australia.
